Default skinning coyote for wall

So i am planning on going coyote hunting with my brothers over the upcoming holidays on my farm in VT. I have never shot one but there is an abundance of them on my farm. I look at it as a good way to get out in the woods and use it as some scouting for deer too for next deer season. Anyways.....im building a camp on my farm and i need some more wall decorations. I want a couple of coyote furs on the wall..... So i have a couple questions.
1. I have a basic understanding of how to skin them..... but if i am going to just hang them on the wall do i slit the skin down the belly?
2. If i am going to be hanging them on the wall can i just salt and dry the fur or do i need to tan it and flesh it?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

i wouldnt slit them...i would skin them by cutting around all 4 feet...then split the fur on the inside of both back legs down the the crotch..make them meet. skin down to the front legs...then pull the front lets out of the fur...then skin down being careful with the ears, eyes, nose and mouth..takes a little practice and getting used to, but thats how i skin everything from squirrels to deer and everything in between..

then, send it out to be "trapper tanned" if you just wanna hang the pelt on the wall...you dont need a high quality tan for that, but it does need tanned to preserve it... ive found places that do most pelts for ~20-30$

hope this helped..

so all i have to do is skin the coyote , and then wrap it up and send it out to be trapper tanned. ?

That is what i want to do is hang it on the wall.

What places do you know of that will shave, stretch , and tan for The price you mentioned?
