Coyote hunting In Ct- Legal with 22?
Is hunting Coyote in Ct Legal using a 22? I have a Nice Ruger with a good scope and would like to try coyote hunting but not sure if a 22 will kill a coyote sufficently and was wondering if it is even legal in ct.....? Does anyone on hear hunt coyote with a 22? Where do you shoot it, heart/lungs or head?

Dont hunt yotes with a .22 mag or .22 long rifle. Not yotes, fox, bobcats, etc. And dont use the .17 HMR

At the range where it would be lethal, you might as well use a 3 1/2 12 gauge with a turkey choke.

I just found out to hunt Coyote in ct with a .22 it has to be rimfire long which is exactly what i use

I donthunt coyotes with a .22 ,here in wyoming and western nebraska it is way open and the majority of our shots are over 150 yards soIusually huntwith a .223. I have howeverseen a coyoteSHOT with a .22 mag and .17hmr but that was because it was the only rifle in the truck. The thing about coyote hunting is you dont usually get a close broadside shot soI prefer a gun that can shot farther and do more damage.
