Dennin w/ dogs and what to use?

I am currently calling all the local farmers that have g-hog and yoteproblems in the spring, and tryin to get their premmision before all the opputunities are gone. I am going to go to the dens, using my airedales. And wondering waht to carry on my hunt? I was thinking of using my regular varmint rifle in a .204 ruger. What do you guys think? Let me know on this....

For the g-hog I would use the 204 or get a 223 but for the yotes If you are going to be close to the dens with the dogs I would get a 12 w/ T shot. If you would be doing shoting from a distance the 204 would be ok.

Ill be shooting from probobly 5-10 yards, so not far at all. I think Ill use my .204, its a great little gun, except its a bolt action. And its hard to jack one in, watch the animal thats at this point just pissed(ansd istrying to eat you), watch the dogs, and look through the scope all at the same time.lol I mean its hard to do all those things at once. So the 12 might not be to bad. If I use the 12, I was going to use the "Dead Coyote" shells. NEED MORE FEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For VA foxes we use 12 gauges w/ Hevishot #2s or #4s and they slam them!
