Default need some tanning advise.........

Ok.I had a bobcat problem witha bobcat eating my chickens, well......
I bought a live trap and caught the som b**** then he met his match with my 22. So I skinned him out saturday and put salt over the hide once I got all the extra skin/fat off the hide.NowI still have the salt on him but i dont know what to do next. Im just gonna strech him out and put him on my wall, when hes finished.
so any tip/advise on what to do next will be greatly apreciated.
thanks, Tayler

Default RE: need some tanning advise.........

First off - don't. If you just salt it, you will have jerky on your wall and it will start to stink. It may take humidity to do it. It will also attract bugs.

Second - Send it to a tannery and have it trapper tanned. I prefer Lonstar Wool and Fur, you can google them.
