Default Looking into coyote hunting

Never hunted coyotes before but its something that Im getting pretty interested in doing. Any tips on getting started? Whats the best way to do it? Just go out and find a good position and start calling? Any help would be nice. Like I said Ive never done it before. I probably wouldn't be shooting very long distances no matter where I am because most of the land I hunt is wooded with a few fields. So what type of gun would be best? Shotgun? Rifle? Slug? etc, etc, etc

Like I said ANY help. Basically what Im wanting to know is how to start?

There are a couple videos that go into this in great detail... as always there is now perfect answer though. I highly recommend Calling Coyotes Like the Pro's (Darrell Holland)and Hunting in the East w/Brent Saxton.

there's a good instruction DVD called
Hunting in the East part 1 Back to the Basics

here's a link to it.
http://www.keescalls.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=sh op.flypage&product_id=1&category_id=1& manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&It emid=1

it's not a high gloss TV production DVD, but has lots of good info in it.

In wooded areas it's a good idea to carry a rifle and a shotgun. #4 shot in the scattergun and 22,223,22 mag,22-250 or whatever the largest caliber rifle legal for coyote in your area.

Sure as you got the rifle, they come in close. When you got just a shotgun, they hangup out of range.

Hold the shotgun while calling, and if you see one hangup out of range, slowly pickup the rifle. A turkey choke will extend the range of your shotgun.
