Default Saw a Cougar

Just got back from archery elk hunting in AZ and had a run in with a cougar. Dont have any experience with cats but am thinking real hard about that cat and might like to try and take it, any sugestions on how to do this and will it hang in the area?

depends. my unle mountain lion hunts some, and i cant remember what he uses, but he almost shot one with his bow, but he looked down to set his arrow on the rest, and looked up(time elapsed probably 2sec.) and it was gone. He didnt hear anything. so be careful. what type of rifles do you have? id guess a .243 would do the trick.

i might email him and let you know what he does, but he uses dogs to track, and run, then tree them, then he just POW shoots them out of trees, kinda like your ol dog chasin the neighbors cat up a tree, except you dont shoot it. I HOPE. lol.

Ive read up on them and they have a huge range so the odds of him still being in the same area could be slim, but, you never know. Best bet is to run them with dogs like mentioned and they say that is still quitea challenge. good Luck.
