big coyote problems

Will we have 80 and a 40 acre place that have so many coyotes that we do not see any deer. Last year we couldn t keep the deer off the land(thats not a problem). On the 40 we have thier is so many coyotes that when we set up on them you don t know which way to set up becuse wehave so many groups barkingfrom all ways, so we can notreally play the wind. Need some goodhits no how get the coyotes off the land, bow season starts Monday. And I am not see any deer!

Traps, and lots of 'em. Contact your local ADC/animal damage control guy and have him trap'em. I good trapper will be more effective than the best hunter every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
If ya can't afford the ADC guy, at least ask him for advice on how to set traps because just putting traps out willy nilly won't cut it. And buying and setting them yourself may save you some money, but in the long run, having it done by a preofessional will be quicker and probably cheaper.

Thats not a problem if you like hunting coyotes!!!

You say there are so many that you can't play the wind, how is that true? no matter where they will come from THEY are still gonna use the wind and terrian to their advantage.

If they are everywhere like you say, you might walk past some on your enterance. But other than that.

I would still play the wind like always!!

I would get myself a couple of predator calls, a howler and rabbit, bird in distress and start hunting them. This time of the year their food sources are changing from easy food such as frogs, grasshooper's and berries etc to a so to speak meat diet. You would be surprised on how much fun it is to hunt them. When they get hungry they will come running into your calling, pretty exciting!

Where you at I'll come hunt them for you!!!!!!!!!!!

You can do a small drive with some buddys.. you will besurprised how many you can knock off by doing this.. I like to call them...

But if you need them out of the area quickly this will work..
