how to get a ground hog??

i am wondering if theres something I can put out to get a shot at this ground hog??he has busted me twice.I'm not sure what they like to eat.thanks

i have caught them in traps using buck jam, and that was a day that there was pouring down rain all day.

If you've got the time, set up and wait on him. Normally if you are sneaking in to get a shot and they spot you, they'll run back in their hole, but if you wait a little bit, they'll pop their head back up. Just wait for him and you can get him.

I agree, you probably would be better off just waiting it out than trying to bait it. If you are realy wanting to get rid of it, get a 220 coniber body trap and put it in front of his hole and I guarantee you will catch him in the first night. I have caught alot thinking that it was a fox or coon den and it ends up being a ground hog.
