Default Best Electric Caller for Yotes???

Guys looking to do a little Yote hunting here in upstate NY and am thinking of getting an electric caller. I see there are some pretty cheap ones in cableas ~$40 and some >$300. Which is the best bang for the buck? I'll probably one go 2-3 times a year if that. So I don't want to spend alot.

i live in upstate Ny also and i love coyote hutning..its one of my favorite hunts...id say your best bet is to just buy some mouth calls there effective and relatively cheap and you can have many different kinds they also seem tobe the most realistic sounding and effective predator calls, from my experience unless you buy a pretty expensive electronic call the rest arnt to good, ive tried a few electronic callers and have had no luck with them,,,id say just go buy some hand held calls and work with those...they work great and are fun...if your going to fork over at least 200-250 bucks i think fox pro has a model in that price range...i think thats as cheap as they had...thats the only brand of electronic caller that i am planning on buying before the next seaon...besides that the mouth calls are great...

good luck

also where are you located in upstate NY?

im in oswego county, phoenix/fulton area

From the Saratoga Springs area. I'll have to get a few hand calls. I'm thinking a rabbit call and mouse squeeker should work.

I'd also suggest mouth calls. Make sure to buy a few predator hunting videos as well. No matter how seasoned of a coyote hunter you are, you will always learn a new trick or two in those videos. Randy Anderson makes a great series of videos that are very informative, and entertaining. Good luck!

yeah the rabbit and mouse squeker shouldm work great...id say you should also get a howler also...it can imitate many different coyote sounds and bark and howls..they really get the yotes going...it helps to know that there actually in the area...using the howler always gets them howling back for me...it works realm good...ive howled back and forth with yotes for several minutes almost communicating with them...its cool to hear them howl back at you knowing that there really trying to communicate with you if you were actually another yote
