Bow v.s BB Gun

What is more lethal, a bow (30#)with an arrow that has a broadhead on it, or a high powered Air Rifle. I know the answer is pretty obvious, but I have had 3 people I know that hunt in my area that said an Air Rifle is more lethal. I tell you one thing, I never hang out with those idiots anymore. I mean, on small game the Air Rifle is efffective at far distances, but it only leaves small wounds in the impact area, and a bow leaves a 28" long arrow imbedded in your fleash about 6 inches deep. I posted this because I think they get on this forum and I want those people to see and I want to prove them wrong. No negative replies please. thanks

An arrow tipped with sharp broadhead will cut way more flesh and blood vessal and creat way more blood lose than a BB or even a .22 cal. pellet will ever do.

Depends on the shooter and the individual gun. If you can't hit the boiler room with a bow it's useless. An air rifle that penetrates the brain is about the same in lethality(however thebow can take larger animals). I'd like to point outthat a 500 fpe Quackenbush will put down cape buffalo,but for your purposes(and since you're my age, price range)wolf, the bow isabetter.
BTW the Condor from airforce airguns is also more powerful like 60 fpe and 25 shots on one fill or so.

EDIT: the Talon and Talon SS get 60 fpe, the Condor gets more than 100 fpe, about equal to .22 lr

I prefer my air rifle, at distances up to 30 yards it smokes 'em.

Undoubtably the arrow is more powerful, offers more knockdown and with a sharp tip would offer much better penetration. It's all relative to the distances and limitations involved in the particular shot- but it's important to remember if you are THAT unsure about the power behind something.... you shouldn't be using it on live targets!

More lethal than a CHEAP, smallbore air rifle. My .6022 cal airgun shoots arrows at nearer 500 fps, whats more powerful now?
