Default Anybody terminating prairie dogs/gophers yet?

I'm headed out tomorrow for my first gopher expedition this spring. Got the bear hunting out of the way for a bit, and I'm about fished out, so it's time to lay the lead to the varmints!

Sighted in my AR this morning. Going to take the .223 Rem. 700, .22-250 Rem. 700 BBL, and Bush Master AR in the morning. Looks to be a nice sunny day with light breezes. Perfect for a massacre!

Anybody been blasting dogs/gophers?

I haven't started on the prairie dogs yet, still waiting on the little ones to show themselves!

Went out this a.m. and found one of my towns to be nearly wiped out by plague, I assume since the rancher hadn't poisoned them. I only saw about 50, only knocked off 15 or so with the hmr. There were three mounds with pups, so I know they are up now. I did have my 22-250 with me, and some new reloads to put on paper, and found none of those loads are worth squat.
Have to check the other p-dog towns next week and hopefully find more life in them.
