Default marlin 917v

Any one have a marlin 917v in 17hmr. Having a problem getting accuracy from mine at 100 yards. Tried a couple different brands of ammo and now took the scope off as well as the rings and will try a newscope and rings. Thanks.

Have one and love it. Mine is as accurate as expected but I have a weak firing pin ( I think ) so it doesn't always go bang.

I also have one and i havent shot past 150 yards but its deadly. we usually take our targets down at the 60 yard range by shooting the tacks down. my buddy has the stainless version. both of ours like astrict diet of Federal ballistic tipped ammo. hollow points are fair and Hornady V-max does well but the Federals do the best.

I have one, in the stainless w/ grey laminate stock. I love shooting it, I plan on taking it out pdog shootin. It came with a 2-3X32 black cabelas scope, I just put on a Tasco 3-9X40 stainless finish scope on it, can't wait to shoot it. I was shooting it at 250 yards, blasting pop cans, hit them, but had to aim about 2 inches high, so it is fairly descent on range for taget purposes any way. I was using Hornady 17 grn. vmax, they were pretty accurate, staying inside a quarter at 100.I just wish there were clips larger than 7 rounds.

I dont have that problem. I really dont know how accurate mine is because im still shooting the ammo it came with but im getting 1in at 100 yards with it. It is Winchester Supreme that the guy at my gunshop gave me 4 boxes of when i got it. He si really kool to me and my dad. We are in there alot so he always gives up ammo or major discounts.
