Consider Harrington & Richardson. (New England Firearms.) They work well and won't cost a bunch. Savage is also popular.

If you are limited to Walmart, go with a Remington. My Walmart has a couple Remingtons that are pretty nice and not real expensive. Stick with a bolt action. After your purchase, make sure the barrel is floated and it will never hurt to glass bed the action. She will be a real shooter!!

I just bought a Savage Model 12BVSS with a muzzle brake. I can't wait for it to come in. It looks so awesome. I also have a Savage 25-06, 30-06, 7mm-08, and 22lr. I absolutely love the accu-triggers. I also like the Remington Model 700. You can't go wrong with either one.

dont get single shot, get a bolt with a clip, single shot will waste to much time, what are you going to be shooting
