Default Pellet Gun

Hey, my dad got me a pellet gun about 2 years ago and the only thing I've ever shot at it with is little toys and stuff I buy at the dollar store.
I never shot at an animal because I wasn't sure of it's power on animals...
So, will a pellet gun kill squirrels, birds, etc...? I don't wanna shoot something and see it run off wounded. Will it knock em down pretty fast?

yea a pellet gun will work. for years i had a crossman gas powered air rifle. it only shot about 600-700 fps, but i killed everything from little birds to medium sized dogs with it. it all depends on where you place your shot. and the type of pellet. with a low powered pellet gun, aim for directley behind the ear.

It depends on how many FPS you can get...i think anything over 500 should bring one down quick...just make to get a good shot...i got a Crossman 1000X and she takes squirrels down fast as rain falling...just make sure to practice and aim small, miss small

Depending on your muzzle velocity the answer is yes. I've taken all kinds of small game up to rabbit size with a Daisy 880 and Crossman 760, the Daisy 1000 springer I have now will get a pass through on a steel can at 25 measured yards with an ordinary flat faced 4 grain lead pellet.

ur good anything over 600, 500 is pushing it but a head shot should do it. Pointed pellets. Gamo PBA Raptor ammo will incresce your velocity, try it out.

Bought a power line 880 to exterminate all the stray cats eating my new ducks and birds . let's just say it was a waste of money and i have since gone back to my .22 short.
