Default of course, of course...

no gun on me, no calls or anything, and i'm out on a date with my girlfriend and i see a BEAUTIFUL red fox having his way with some roadkill while driving leisurly on a country road. i'd like to bag a fox but they seem rare here compared to most other game.

*sigh*

that's life i guess.

That's the sign of a true hunter when you are out with a chick and can get distracted by a fox or any other game. Reminds me of the time i was on a first date and came to a screeching stop on the highway to pick up a snapping turtle that was crossing the road. My date was actually slightly impressed.

Yea im in drivers ed right now and they said no matter what hit the animal because there is alot of outside factors that can be worse than hitting it. I would rather pick it up and save it but i would rather live also!!!

Yeah a friend and his wife was traveling up I # 95 and swerved to avoid a skunk. Next thing you know they were in a roll over and he ended up being crippled from the neck down. That had happened about 2 years ago.

i'd be impressed if a buddy of mine had the testicular fortitude to pick up a snapping turtle. i want no part of those things...

and i didn't run it over because that would've required some off roading (including crossing a ditch) in a 2 wheel drive dodge dakota hehe

the girl is from some city in illinois (i've actually forgotten...oops) but lives in alabama now. we've been dating about 4 months or so and sunday i took her fishing for the first time and let her shoot a "real" gun the first time (SS .410). she giggled for quite some time after she finally worked up the courage to pull the trigger. i think the city slicker liked it

Snapping turtles arent that bad, theres only one part on 'em that'll really hurt ya.I've actually caught quite a few of them.

What other ways are there to handle them?

I can't count how many times that has happened with me as I drove by a yote, and a few foxes too, but you can't get um all I guess.
