Best gun for coyote drives/pushes?

I have a bolt action rifle to hunt coyotes when I'm calling by myself. But sometimes I will get together with a bunch of guys and do drives for coyotes. The bolt action is not real great for this type of hunting and a shot gun can be good but a lot of times the coyote is out of range. I think a semi-auto rifle would work good for this type of hunting when the coyote could be close or long range and always on the run. What type of a semi auto do you recommend while doing drives for coyotes?

Semi-Auto shotgun. When your pushing they will jump at ultra-close range. You will be best off with a scatter gun for those types of encounters. I got a 12 gauge mossberg 930.

The shot gun is great for close range, but sometimes they jump out of the brush at about 100 yards in front of me, then they are out of range.

I use and recommend a good lightweight AR15. I have a P.Ord. (bushmaster) carbon 15. It shoots awesome, way more accurate than a Ruger Ranch Rifle.

I would use a Ruger Mini-14 .223 semi-auto

For going through a woods definately a semi-auto shotgun. In the open i would say an AR-15.
