Fur market prices?

I was wondering what kind info others have on recent fur market. I've heard this past wk. market prices aren't selling for what was first believed to be a good fur market. The Chinese, and European markets are not buying & paying like first expected. I contacted a local buyer today. He's not buying right now until he hears more from recent NYS fur auctions, becasue of rumors on a lower than expected market.

Unless something has happened within the last week, prices have been decent (compared to past years) on coon, coyote, and mink here in ohio and neighboring states. Beaver is very good. Muskrat has dropped some, but is still great.Dunno why your buyer would be spooked enough to hold off on buying because of rumors.Rumors arepar for the course in the fur trade.
