Depends on where you live, here in Texas their hides are not worth anything so we generally toss them.....but if your in a area where the hides are good you might be able to atleast pay for your bullets....

So i'm guessing you can't eat them? Like here where i live in Ohio the Coyote population is exploding, especially in my county and we can hunt them year around and figured maybe i'd try my first couple of hunts on squirrel and coyote. I can eat squirrel so if i can't eat 'Yotes then is it really worth it?

ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!! Think about what you just said, the population is exploding. Read up on Coyotes my friend. They are a specie know forkilling farm animals and pets. They reproduce quickly and destroy the farming industy. Think of it as a favor to society.

Depending on the amount of damage, taxidermist on the net will pay $50 - $75 plus shipping. Goes along way in paying for guns and/or ammo.

Or you can check to see if there are any bounties for 'em in your area. Some of the counties in Virginia will pay as much as $75 from what I've heard for coyotes. Now, this is what I'm told from the guys at work, not from seeing it or hearing it from a county office.
