Default Quick rabbit question

I've been snaring rabbits for a few years now. I have my share of success when there is snow on the ground, but when the snow keeps melting away like it is this year i dont have much luck. The other day i went looking around for some rabbit rubs when we had sufficient snow. I found a few good runs and set up a few snares today. Do rabbits use the same trails when there isnt snow? or will they scatter?

I think when we don't have snow, they use different paths. The only reason the use paths in the snow is for quicker, easier travel.
