TO answer .22 for rabbit or not -- it all depends on how you hunt.
If you are hunting without dogs then you will have better luck since the rabbit has a tendency to stop more often. kind of hard to hit them on the run with a .22 -- The other is I sometimes use a .22 over a 20ga -- that way you have both worlds. I remember 3 years ago when rabbitts were at the peak of the cycle that I stood in one place a could see 5 rabbitts and loaded the pump .22 and 15 minutes later I had 7 rabbits -- that was a day I would love to had a video -- hope it comes again.

That's about all I use for rabbit hunting. I also have a LOT of fun with semi-auto .22 pistol.

.22 is good for hunting rabbits without dogs. Its fun if you spot and stalk if you can or just try to take long shots with a .22! Try it.... its fun! Eric did good explaining it
