Default Rifle and Coyote question!!!!! please help

This might sound kinda weird but my dad was wondering if dog food would or could attract coyotes, hence the ground beef, pork and other things? lol... he told me to ask! He was also wanting some helpful information on a Savage .204! is it good for coyotes, prairie dogs, groundhogs? Thanks in advanced for all the help

.204 is fine for coyotes. never shot one but i guy that works on my boat has one and he told me that he can shoot certain flying birds that eat chickens from 300 yards. told me it had decent knock down power too.

Dog food could attrach coyotes, but I'd expect them to take a while, probably a long whileto find it, unless you have a place that the coyotes frequent already. Something that would have a stronger smell to it would be better to attract them, because of the smell it would put in the air.
The .204 is a nice choice for coyotes and smaller game!
