Small Game, Predator and TrappingFrom shooting squirrels in your backyard to calling coyotes in Arizona. This forum now contains trapping information..
hello all. I was wondering in your opinion as far as rabbit and squirrel and possibly crows seem to go what would be the advanteges and or disadvanteges to a .22 LR as compared to a .22 mag other than price of ammo?
I was also wondering if anyone knows whether or not you can use a .22 pistol in Iowa for squirrel or rabbit

long rifle is very arched but mag isn't. long rifle doesn't have enough power at long ranges but is great for short ranges. .22 mag delivers about 500 fps faster and can shoot 3 inch groups out to 150 yards. lr is a lot more sporting and challenging to shoot and a follow up shot may be needed for rabbits at long range. .22 mag range is out to 150 yards and .22 is out to 50- 75.
