squirell hunt

Hi, i have killed squirells before but never have actually sat and had them come down to me im in NW MO and need advice where to set how long it will take umm good surrounding to have, i will also be using a savage accutrigger 17HMR heavy barrel with head shots will this gun be good to use?any advice or tips are appreciated.

that gun should be fantastic considering i almost always use a ruger 10/22 for squirrel.

as far as where to set I can't really offer any advice. I always try to jump them.
