Default live trappin coon???

would it be worth it to set out a couple live traps this time of year? i got around 5 of em on the trail cam in early summer. if so what do i bait em with?

yes, u can live trap them this time of year. just put any scrap food in the back of the trap (preferably some sort of fish) and set it beside a trail or under a bush somewhere with the door facing out (if your using a box trap). i also found that some of the coons are smart enough not to step on the trip plate, so spread some peanut butter on it. that way theyll get there paws down there and start lickin it.

Eggs work wonders where I live. I put in a whole egg, and then put some sweet smelling trapping lure on the egg. Its a coon a nite setup if you have a large population of them like here.

the only thing i trap with for coons...honeybuns, in these parts of the woods if you cant get em with anything else they love the little debbies. also a hint might be to hang it from the very top back of the cage, i've had some that will keep their but out enough to catch the door and still reach the food at the bottom but hanging it seems to make them have to go in further.

well i set out a couple baited with corn tonight, its the only thing i had at the time. probably wont catch nothing cause if you havent checked the weather for indiana its gonna get really cold and snow and stuff so well see. thanks for the tips.
