Default My 57 pound monster!

11-29-06 57 pound Beaver!!!

I went and checked my traps and found a monster in it. He weighs 57 lbs.!!!
I couldn't even carry him out. I had to get an ice fishing sled to drag him in. My dad and I took turns dragging it. Yesturday I found the house and made channel sets about 20-30 yards from it. That got him!!! He is huge.

Me in the swamp. Hard to see but thats as high as I could hold him.

Thats not a tiny pack basket. Its a full size one.

Thats the sled. Look at his size compared to it.

Me tired from the haul out.

Wow!!!! That is one huge beaver Spikehorn, I managed to pick up 3 more fox this week,2 reds and a grey,But I also managed to get 2 traps stolen. I just cant figure it out, So many times I have stumbeled upon other peoples treestands and traps and never even thought of touching them. But the second someone sees my stuff they steal it. Well, I guess your always gonna have the good sportsman and the bad ones. The hard thing to believe is that it was on private property, and I am the only one allowed on there, well at least I thought I was the only one. Anyway CONGRATS ON THAT HUGE BEAVER!!!!!
