Default missing traps

okay well ive just about had it! i caught one muskrat the first night i had my traps set out. next night......check the traps and didnt catch anything, but one of my traps is gone about a mile up the stream. then i just came back today and another one of my muskrat trapsis gone and a coon trap is missing![:@] i tell u what, i am sick of this. i spent 2 days of my thanksgiving vacation setting and tending to my traps and im only losing them.the only think i caught was that single muskrat. idk if im doing something wrong or if im just really unlucky but i just wanna give up....

How do you anchor them. Is there human sign in the area? Could a coon be getting in them and pulling the trap out or a mink moving the trap in the water and the current taking it away?

i have my traps secured to a rock in deep water with a cable and drowner locks attatched. i thought it might be a coon because i could see coon tracks in the sand and no human foot prints other than mine. idk how a coon could drag a trap out of the water with the rock attatched and not get hung up somewhere, but i searched and searched and couldnt find any sign of him idk whats taking the traps.

I know this might sound little silly but one of those the traps, do you think its possible that one of the whatever it caught, might have dragged it off?

actually idt that sounds silly at all. i live in PA and there are coyotes runnin around.im thinkinthat maybe one of them got caught in the trap and drug it off. i thought that he would have pulled his foot out before being able to drag the entire thing away considering that it is only a #1 longspring, but who knows. just the thought that someone might be up there stealin traps is really eatin away at me.[:'(]

Yeah that's pretty messed up if someone stole your traps. Hopefully you find it or at least who might have done it
