Default got me a squirrel

Got me my first squirrel of the season yesterday.

Nice and plump.

Got him out of a hollow oak tree.

Weapon of choice = Stihl 460 magnum.

Thats right - stupid critter stayed home after riding the tree to the ground, cutting off chunks, and I happened to get into his nest. I guess about 1/2 way through the hollow, he changed him mind about staying put. Learned his lesson the hardway. Ran about 30' before expiring.

Poor squirrel. I think his destiny was to either be electricuted in a power line transformer or under the tire of a mail truck, but you took all that away from him.

Tons of fun, isn't it? I started squirrel hunting this year. I never thought I would enjoy it but I love it. I've shot five so far. Congrats on him and happy hunting!
