How do you catch an otter?

Iowa recently opened a limited otter season and I know where one is and can see where he always comes up on land. I made a bucket set with salmon in the back using a 2-20. Will this work or do you have some better ideas? Different sets or baits?

if ya can find a landing area .... where they are comin up on land .... set ya trap in that spot .... offset the pan a lil and use breastin sticks ..... sticks under the surface of the water juttin out to hit it/them in the breast to get em to put their feet down ..... can also use snares, 220-280 conis ..... 330's will work but with modifications ..... alot of hip caught otter in 330's ..... good luck
