Default bad day bobcat

Ever have one of those days when everything seems to be going wrong? Well I was having one of those days Michelle and I were going to make one stand after dropping our daughter off at work,we got 3 miles down the road and I realized I didn't have my jacket or my digital camera. So I turned around and went back to get them.We were now back on the road ,dropped Leanna off at work and headed to the stand. We got there and I realized I didn't have my FX5 or my hand calls,I knew there had to be a call in the truck somewhere, then I found one in my hunting bag.We gathered our guns, shooting sticks and camera ,got set up turned on the camera,NO TAPE! %#$@#@% ! We decided to call anyway,I started the stand with a cottontail in distress sound,in less than 3 minutes there was a bobcat standing about 80 yards in front of us, we watched him for quite some time ,when he decided to leave I decided it was time to pull the trigger .The .243 AccuTip caught him square in the neck and down he went!

Good shooting Guess, I shot my first one ever yesterday morning. I was setting some bait out for coyotes and the cat came out and sat in the road about 65 yards away. I let it go to sleep right there. Sorry no pics but it was a 19 pound female and I put it in the freezer to have it mounted later. Open season just opened up yesterday and there has been quite a few signs of the cats around this year. So will try for another again sometime soon.
