Default New Trapper

Started trapping this season as a way of getting my daughter more interested in the outdoors. Never trapped when I was younger and didn't really have any knowledge on the subject. A close frined of mine is a pretty sucessful trapper and has given me some basics to get me started. He and I went out yesterday and put out a dozen sets, more than enough to keep me occupied. I have to be honest I tossed and turned all night waiting to wake up like a kid on Christmas morning. Checked all the traps this morning and none of the fox sets were touched, no surprise. Then checked my water sets and found success. My first raccoon using a Duke 1 1/2. I must say I think I'm hooked.

Congrats on your first catch! As in all good things, it can be a bit addicting. Have that friend of yours show you how to put up fur as well.
