Do squirrel calls really work?

I saw a squeeze bark type call the other day and wonder if they relly work, or if some other call does, or if I'm better off without a call at all.

Ohh Yes!! I use a squirrel in distress call. They work.

I never had any luck with the bark call,But the distress call works good for calling coyotes in. Had one a couple years ago came in behind me.Never knew it until i heard the rustle of leave.Don't know who was more surprise him or me.

I use a couple of different squirrel calls. An old whistle and a bellows call by HS. The HS call is pretty good. Barks, whistles, chatters. I get a kick out of getting them to answer.

well my someone bought one for me as a joke, but i didnt think it was funny and started using it, and it drives those squirles nuts it works great, good luck on em.

I believe that they can work, but haven't used one. I prefer to go out and sit 'em out by a tree.
