Default Red Tailed hawk with quarry

Was looking out my back window today and some bunnies. No big deal, they're always there, but then a red tailed hawk swooped down and nailed one. Didn't catch the action but got some good pics after. Thought I'd share.

Thats awesome!

One of the coolest things I ever saw while hunting was when a squirrel was picked clean off a branch by a hawk. I was speechless.

Nice pics.

All I usually find are small piles of dove feathers around my bird feeders, where a hawk got one. I never got to see the hawk.

you know red tails hunt mostly on the ground?they run around and poounce up some rats

the only 2 things cooler than redtail is
1)a peregrine stooping from the air and smasking an air bourngame birdat 200 miles aan hour
2)a gos hawk sloloming(sp?)through the brnche in thick brush to catch an upland bird in mid air.harris hawk can do this to but iits not any thing worth seeing over a redtail

Awesome. A hawk tried to get one of my chickens last summer... I had to chase it off.
