Default Went yote hunting, ate crow!

Anyway... I have never really had luck yote hunting, but wanted to get out anyway... The landowner (parents) won't let me shoot the fox on their property [>:]... So I was left to pop some crow... I have to admit it was fun and the first time I got to take my RRA .223 Varminter out for some "real-life" trials!!! Here's a pic...

Nothing too exotic on the loads... Black Hills Blue Box 55-grain soft points... I tell you what those things are super accurate, easily quarter size 5-shot groups at 100-yards and a lot of them dime size. One problem I had is they really shredded on fox I did take and they just tore up the crows (not that I care)! But I am a little worried when it comes to animals I wan to save their pelts on... Might go to FMJ ammo.

I brought them back to my parents house so they could watch the fox or other scavengers come in at night... They like to watch them out the window and they have one of the gazzilion candlewatt powered lights to spot them at night... No, I didn't eat them.

It is one heavy SOB... over 10 pounds!!! But that is probably why it is such a shooter!
