Default Remington 870 Express, All Around Small Game Gun?

Do you guys think a remington 870 express in .410 or 20 gauge would be good for an all around small game gun? Thanx!

yes i would go 20 over 4-10 only because 4-10 shells cost an arm and a leg any more, but the 870 is i think the most popular shot gun on the market. and wonderfull on small game. know tons of people who have one or had one and non have had a problem with them.

You really can't go wrong with the 870...but if you're considering coyote on the list of "small game" (I know you're probably not) I'd opt for the 12gauge for buckshot. If that one animal isn't on your list...or plan to use a rifle for them the 20gauge is perfect.

20 Gauge 870 Express is by far the best all around small game gun in my book! JMO
