I use my 11-87,and modified choke.Full in late season.I also have a ruger 77/22 that I love plinking them out of the tree tops with.Shotguns are probably the best for getting a squirrel.22's are best for headshots,and saving meat.IMO.I don't like chewing on #6's.
I use a Ruger 10/22, a Ruger 10/17 HMR, Ruger .204. And no, I don't Favor Ruger, just liked the reliability of the rifles, espeically for varmints. My Tikka, Sako, and Remington rifles are for bigger game, from coyote on.

i use my marlin bolt action model 910 or something like that with a 4x15 scope thats sighted in for 25 yards but is accurate out to 40. along with a crossman quest 1000x airgun and rossi .410 shotgun
