Default Whats everyones Loads of choice for 'Yotes?

Just wondering what everyone was shooting for a load, as well as a rifle for 'yotes this year.

My go-to 'yote gun is a Tikka T-3 243, stainless synthetic, Leupold VX-II 4-12x40, loaded with 75gr Hornady HPs at max load. This load has put 3 coyotes down in the last week with no exit holes yet the last coyote I shot was 65 yards trotting in the head, and it still didn't exit.

My secondary gun is my Benelli M1 Super 90, 8 shot extension, with 3" #4 buckshot.

I am also going to be packing my Springfield Armory XD 40 Tactical this season and try to get a 'yote with that as well.

My coyote taker is a Tikka T3 varminter stainless chambered in .308 Win. I love it, would not trade it for anything else. It holds a Leupold 4x12x40 scope on it, and the rifle is accurate enough to take yotes at 300 yards..Anything beyond that, in my mind, is taking a risk you cannot afford when you are limiting the predators in the landscape.I also use this rifle for long distance target shooting and competitions for stock rifles. My load size is the following: Federal or Hornandy 165 grain bullet, either Super Shock Tip or Ballistic Tip. I find the 180 grain bullets only useful for the boars around my ranch and nursery, as well as the neighbors pig problems during Springtime. Tikka all the way. Next year, I am buying the tatical in .338 Lupua....Oh ya, that one will kick.

AR-15 20" stainless steel bull barrel. 1x8 twist. gonna see what 60 gr. V-MAX do in it this month. i know 77 gr. boattail hollowpoints fly great out of it. V-MAX a little cheaper and i think might be a little more devestating.

Normally a Hornady V-Max moly pushed by Winchester 748 or IMR 4320. I use 40 grain when I'm in the thick stuff and think I might see a bobcat, and 50 grain for nearly everything else.

The gun is a Browning A-bolt Composite Stalker, with a -3-9x40 Nikon Buckmaster scope. No trigger adjustments.

I've got some new loads I'm working up for my .25-06. So far, 87 grain Speer Spire Points are shooting the best pushed by an anonymous powder (I don't want to get laughed at again). I've loaded a bunch of 75 grain V-Max bullets, but I haven't had the chance to test them yet. The gun there is the older version Model 70, with the trigger adjusted down to 3 1/2 pounds, topped with a Leupold VXIII 4.5-14x40 scope. I haven't shot a coyote with this gun yet, but hopefully over the holidays I can introduce a couple of yotes to it.

.222 remington...I love this gun...Its an old 721 remington ugly as hell but it can shoot...i can shoot 5 shot groups at 100 yards and cover them with a dime...I tryed handloading for it but for some reason it likes the hornady 50 grain v-max load...It puts yotes down up to200 yards easily...I have taken one at over three hundred once...i got lucky and hit it right behind the eye...dropped it in its tracks...great gun....

Ruger m77 25.06, 75gr. Hornady V-max. I use IMR 4350 powder. I have had some people tell me the 75gr. v-max is to small for the 25.06, but i haven't had ant trouble.

Here lately Ive been using the winchester model 70 .270 with 130 bullet. I know the grains are a bit much but im just trying to use the boxes up. Ive had them for over a year now. It can still reach out there an touch those yotes at well over 400 yards.

For shotgun, When I do some calling, I use 3" steel shot #2 bb. Seems to do the trick at about 60 yards or closer.
