Default Fox tail

I shot a fox about 3 weeks to a month ago andi cut off the tail, i've had it in salt out in my shed but i figured it was about ready to come in but when i went out there to get it, it smelt really bad. I was wonderin if theres anything i can put on it or spray on it to get rid of the smell...

if you didn't split it and remove the bone, you best bet it trash it and hunt for another fox.it will always be bad. the hair will fall out because it has spoiled meat inside.

always pull the bome then fill it with salt.you can pull the bone by,not cutting it off the fox, just cut around the tail only the skin. then take two big nails and put one oneach side of the tail and put the tail between you fingers and pull toward the tip and the skin should slip right off.

It's rotted. Always remove the tail from the tail bone and split it up the middle before salting.
