Default 9-8-05 First for the year with PIX

I went out with my buddy today for some squirrels. All we were seeing were reds most of the day. They would stick to the pines where they had cover and when they moved they were so fast all we would get was a quick shot. After a whileI told my buddyIwas going after a grey that kept barking about 150-200 yards away. I walked quietly trying to get close and pin point his location. I could hear he was close so I took out my distress call and bow it a few times then went heavy on it and kicked leaves and brush. with in 2 minutes he came charging in at me stopping 3-4 yards to my left side. I looked through my 4X scope on my Marlin and found grey and pulled the trigger. I am pumped that the call work and I am going tohead out tomorrow morning to get the others that were barking.

congrats. sounds like you had a large time.
I have a Marlin just like yours and I put a regular large rifle scope on it.just a stright 4x. I get a quicker pick up on the rats in the trees.
