got my first yote!!!!!!

I finaly got one. well sort of. I was out cutting alfalfa down and one jumped up and ran aways. so i decided to get my gun and see if i could get close enough for a shot. tried to sneek him he seen me and moved but i got within a 150 to 200 yrd shot. so i took it with my 223 got him right in the neck. i was surrprised that it didnt jus kept running when i was tring to sneek it. it ran a bit then turned around. it was probly curious to see what the heck was fallowing it. well still have yet to get one close enough for a shot by calling. but man do i hear em. i just need to practice on calling and settin up before i try it agin in a bit.

At least ya haven't given up yet, on the calling part that is! It'll happen, when ya least expect it...and I'll go out on a limb and say it will happen this winter!!

Howler i got a feeling this winter too. well hopefully i get out this winter. im headin for college this fall but its only a 3 hour drive back to the farm so ill prob be home every weekend. ill get some.

3 hrs. isn't a bad drive at all. The drive home for me is about the same distance. And fall/winter weather can make for productive calling.
