Default Best Coon Hound

I was wondering what is your favorite coon hound just because I am interested in getting one. I was kind of looking at treeing walkers

Walkers are good dogs no doubt. There are good ones of every breed. What do you plan on doing with the dog. Pleasure hunting, competition hunting, or both? Are you going to just run coons or bobcats also? Check in the sporting dogs forum, there is a thread on there now about what kind of dogs people prefer. There are a few coon hunters over there.

The best coon hound is one that does not run trash, and quits barking when it's on private property LOL!!!!!! My dad always hunted with blueticks, and his buddies used them or walkers. There are good and bad in all of them.

just for pleasure hunting. I need a decent dog that will tree but has a nice bark to him just because the woods i go in are huge. If i were to walk one it would take me a day only in fall or winter because its a swamp. Or in wi now just because its so dry out
