ive been getting yote fever but i its july and im doubting ill have much success during this hot mounth but im going to try anyways and i was wondering what would be the best method of calling to call them in
I am not sure where you are at, but around here, there are quite a few younger ones that should be easier to call in than later in the year when they have been shot at a little bit, and get smarter. I wouldn't change much of anything aside from how you normally call for coyotes. One thing is for sure, if it is hot outside, WATER will be key.

RE: yote hunting in july
summer months are pretty easy to call in the young if you can hold off and not get winded maybe a more mature yote will walk in. Summer months are some of the best months to hunt them.

i didnt really answer your question lol Id use a can of sardines in oil for bait gets the young ones attention real well as for calls use a squeaker the sound of a squeaker will get a young coyotes attention better then anything else.

In the summer months when its hot me and my hunting buddy make our sets in the early morning and evenings..... When we have a trouble getting a target animal to come into range we get a old chickin and tether them ti a stake and back off a couple hundred yards and use the remote call, it usally works just fine, the cottontail distress call will work just fine, and in the summer time try using a wood pecker in distress...

HDW, do you use sardines in conjunction with calling, or do you use one or the other?
The sent from sardines attracts the yotes into the area, the mouse sqeakers helps get the curious young to come in closer if the there is any, 9 times outta 10 you will call in a young yote in the summer months. theres should be a mature yote nearby with the young, as the young coyote investigates the sound from the squeaker the mature yote will eventually show if the setup is just right you end up with a young yote inbetween you and the mature yote which should be within 100 yards of you. Thats how I would do it because I get a bigger thrill out of actually hunting these critters, there are 2 types of people that go after yotes, there are people who hunt them like i do by trying to attract them within 100 yards by calling, The other type are coyotes shooters, coyotes shooter will set out bait and sit over the bait with a scoped rifle from a few hundred yards, in my book thats not hunting, but it does take some skilled shooting.

i am not sure where you live but in the east we hay the fields in july and august. after the fields have been cut we hunt the fields. coyotes love to chase the mice around in the fresh cut fields. we have shot themin the middle of the day hunting this way without any calling. it will last a week or two then the mice must dig in or something but the sightings will go way down. idon't use calls much until the leaves are off the trees it is just to thick to see this time of the year.

I hunt coyotes in summer when i have the chance and keep the wind & terrain in my favor, since coyotes are teaching their young to hunt at this time you probably will get the younger ones to come into almost any set provided you are careful in your setup. I like calling along edges of fields, along trails and in semi-open terrain where i can spot a coyote from a long way (if possible), try to take the farthest coyote if you see more than one as the closer one might hesitate when they see their fallen partner.
