Default squirrels

I've only hunted squirrels in the around winter when there are pecans. Now I'ts late May and there aren't any pecans so where do the squirrels stay and what kind of trees should I look for (there aren't any Mulberrys around).

Thanks,Matt

They live near trees such as oak, walnut, hickory, and maple. They look for pine cones and other seeds, berries, grain, mushrooms, insects, small animals, and spring buds and flowers on trees and shrubs.

Any where there are oaks or just about any area of woods will hold squirrels.

Tree rats eat small animals? Tell me more!

I have a Red Oak in the back yard and a resident population of 3.

They live under every tree stand I've ever put up. Countless deer have busted me because of a tree rat having a fuss over me in his tree. This year I'm hitting my property with a .410 just before the deer season starts.

This time of year I find them where ever the oak trees are, but only early in the morning or the last half hour of daylight.
