I would say if you found one for that price to jump on it. I had converted some of my Traditions guns to 209 and the kits were around 80 bucks. I think your gun kit should include the primer holder for the 209 and the new striker for the primer, if not I have seen them for around 20 bucks. The photo is the primer holder for your woods rifle. I checked Midway and did not see the 209 kit for your gun. You may want to call TC and make sure you get the right one. It may be higher priced but you will receive the correct one. I think you could even have them install it if you ask them to. Good luck.

The one that fits your woods rifle I think is the same as my Black Diamond. But call T/C and see what they say. My understanding was, the woods rifle turned into the Black Diamond.

On a side note, if your not shooting pellets, why worry about the 209 primers. I am sure the rifle goes off real well with the #11 caps. Can you change to a musket cap with that rifle?

Cayugad's Black Diamond and your Woods rifle use the same striker and primer holder. I beleive the system 1 is slightly different and appears to be a shorter striker than the Woods or Black Diamond. TC would be your best bet before you buy a kit. Good luck and let us know what TC says. It's all part of the fun in shooting them muzzys.

That pic looks like the Flame Thrower.....and it does just that....on both sides.

I added one to my Thunderhawk 54 before i sold it. The new owner does mind it but if i was doing it over again i would use the musket cap nipple instead.....not a Flame Thrower.
