Probably just bad luck, but the only time I know for sure that I was caught by a deer in the last ten years was the first time I tried scent away.

Went right back to scent shield, never busted again to my knowledge.

I only use Scent-A-Way. I wish it came in 50 gallon drums. I works great for me. I use it when I suit up at my vehicle on every piece of clothing and my pack . Then when I get to my stand I also spray down with a little bottle I carry in my pack. This seems to work very well for me. Besides that fact The scen-a-way is cheaper than the scent killer. If this is any indication when the season is over and I go looking for bargains at the two Wal-Marts in the area there is never any scent-a-way left. The only stuff that is left is the scent killer and even after it is marked down a fair bit it still doesn' t go that fast. Go with the Scent-a-way.

Big Country said it all, another vote for scent shield! A friend of mine put me on this stuff many years ago and to my knowledge i' ve never been busted when using it and i' ve had lots of deer come in with the wind in their face. I' ve also had deer to walk in on my path after i walked in and got set in my stand and after that happened the scent shield really made a believer out of me. I also use the scent shield bar soap along with the spray and it has always worked for me. Scent shield is a great product no doubt!

I use Scent a way , have for years , never had a problem with it . I get the Earth scented type , and apply to all my gear before and after entering the woods . Combined with my chemical suit this combo renders you all but invisible to deer . I' ve tried both brands , but prefer Scent a way . Since both contain the same basic ingredients use the one that suits you .
