Mossberg 695 bolt action slug gun
Whats it worth used? I have a chance to pick one up with a weaver 3x9 scope. Gun has normal scratches and less than 100 rounds through it. It's my uncles gun, so I know its in good condition. Any ideas whats a fair price?

A 695 should fetch somewhere between $200.00 - $300.00 bare gun depending on condition. I have one and they are great accurate slug guns. Be advised however that there was a recall on them from serial number M000101 to M015304. The slug guns in this range may discharge when closing the bolt during the loading of a live shell into the chamber.
You can send it in to Mossberg however for free to have it repaired.

His was one of the recalled models, it was fixed by Mossberg a few years back. $200-300, huh? Wow....how much were they new? I know its accurate, but I didn't think it would be worth that much. I've been lucky to give away Mossbergs in the past when I traded.

It's a completely different animal than the run of the mill Mossberg shotguns that are all over the place.
