Default homemade deer carriers

I am tired of dragging deer after I kill them. Any suggestions on how I can make one on my own? I would like something with wheels on it and possibly light weight.

I've heard a few people say that a golf club caddy works wonders and if you look in the right place, they're pretty cheap. Try going to a used sporting goods store or see if you can borrow one from a friend. If you try it, let me know if works.

Thanks,
Mike

Yep, the golf bag cart works great! I bought mine for $10 at a used sporting goods store. Brought some tie-down straps with me and used them to keep the deer on the cart. I'd like to install some larger wheels and possibly run a cable between the struts for more support.

I got the idea originally from this forum but I forget who posted it. I think it was in the hunting gear reviews room.

The standard two wheel dolly you can get cheep at wally world or K mart works fine, way better than a micky mouse golf bag dolly. I use one when I camp way back in the woods. I easily carry everything and can bring a deer and camp out in one trip.

Hey girlbuckslayer, welcome to the boards! I have a wood carrier that also works for carting deer. It's a 2 wheeler and holds 200lbs.

I have one I made like a wheelbarrow, except the wheel is right at the front, and the box part is only about 12" at the bottom and 16' to 18' at the top.it is about 5' long and works great.you just sit the deer into the bottom with his feet out, fold the legs down tie and go.

I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest

remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.

buy one of the little plastic sleds that walmart/kmart sell and tie a rope to it. I like these b/c you can usually find one that is orange. the bottom sides are slick, obviously, and glide right throught the woods with a deer on it.
