I have seen him in some videos but not any that were his. Years ago before I knew who he was I remember reading articles about bird hunting (with shotguns of course) that he authored. He has written hundreds of articles on various kinds of hunting over the years. I have even seen some on patterning shot guns I believe.

Since he has become a world famous archer I think he only writes archery articles now.

Lilhunter, your right, I won't bash the guy but I know quite a few guys who has met him, not very personable, at least to them but everyone has a bad day.

Also, kudo's to him but most of us will never have the opportunity that is handed to him most times and except for the public land monsters he's taken, guides and outfitters will harbor special animals for those type clients. But like I said, kudo's and a tip of the camo hat.

I talk to him at a sportsman show in portland or in 88 or 89 and he was very pleasant and well spoken on all of hunting we talk for 30 mins.I ask him if he was a little nervous when he shot his brown bear he smiled and said just a little.

I give the guy alot of credit also I saw him in an outdoor show in ohio and he put on a seminar on big game.I found out if you are looking for tips on deer hunting for the average joe, chuck adams seems to be in another league.I don't think my story on how can I get a 8pt I have been after will keep his attention without going into the record buck he took somewhere else.

I was in the PSE truck years ago getting a new bow made up. Chucky came by to the back parlor and sat down. He seems a little quiet and reserved, but definitely couldn't have been nicer to me. I sat there for 30-40 minutes while he and a guy from PSE talked about chucks bear hunt he'd just returned from. Being shy myself(<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>) I held up my end of the conversation. He couldn't have been nicer. I don't think he does the video bit as he doesn't want all the excess baggage tagging along behind on his hunts. He does a lot of ground hunting and stalking. The guy writes(that's his living) but he hunts to HUNT. He leaves the cameras at home. I'm a CHUCKY Groupy. He can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. BASH him all you want. He really doesn't care.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I love the man I think he's one of the very best archers ever, right there with Fred, Howard and that group. Hes alive, which means he won't get the respect he deserves right now, but from what I have read and know, the man is in a league that has very few members.

I agree! Chuck Adams is the best. never met him, but I've read of his accomplishments, and not to many archers can match him!

I have met him and also thought he was a nice guy, only talked to him for a few minutes but he was pleasant enough. I think he is kind of shy, and some take that as being stuck up. I have met Ted Nugent twice, He was pretty cool the first time, and a complete dick the second. I won't take away from his ability or his conviction for the sport, but he has some serious personality issues.

It's kind of hard to judge people that you don't really know. Seeing someone out of their element for a few moments hardly constitutes an understanding of the person.
