Take if from me who has a braked gun, Use muffs on plugs at the range and QB2's in the field hunting. Do a google search on quiet band plugs. They are fast to the ears and don't get in the way. Plus...

I took mine to a smith out here in Washington....I paid $180 bucks for it. Very nice smooth transition.
