RE: Rifled slugs... how accurate?

It really is a crap shoot sometimes. My Mossberg 500 would only get around 4 to 5 inch groups at 50-60 yards regardless of what choke or ammo I used. Now my Browning A5 would get 3 inch groups at 100...

RE: sights

Yep, they make fiber optic sights the clamp right to the rib. They work pretty nice. Mostly used for turkey hunting but you can use them for slugs as well. I did it with my Mossberg 500 and was...

RE: deer slugs in a full choke ????

Like said above, if they are foster/rifled slugs they will safely go through a full choke. That being said the accuracy will probably be pretty bad because of the amount the choke will deform the...

Your going to have to at least check it, maybe you will have to adjust it maybe you won't. Why wouldn't you anyway? You should at the very least shoot your gun before the season to make sure nothing...

You miss understood me I guess, I wasn't referring to only lightfield slugs, but all the slugs available on the market. Just because it is a 3 inch doesn't mean it will always be faster than a 2 3/4....

RE: shotgun guys.............

Depends on the load you pick, some 2 3/4 inch loads are faster than some 3 inch loads, you really need to do your homework in that area before you buy them. Boils down to the powder charge and weight...

RE: deer shotguns - shot versatility

Probably won't hurt the barrel, but the pattern will be huge and horrible. Chokes are used for reason;).

RE: Using 3-1/2" Slugs?

Not hard for me to beat, they have never been the most accurate load in any guns I fired them from. As far as the shorter shell issue, you will never know unless you try it. To be honest the most...

RE: Draw weight on compound bow - what is the word?

With the current line of bows there really is no need for more than 60 lbs on a hunting bow. More draw weight will get you more speed though if that is what you are looking at. But a 350-400 grn...
