Hastings barrel sight options
Hi all,
I have a 12g Beretta A303 with a fully rifled Hastings Paradox barrel that I use for deer hunting here in Illinois. The iron sights on this barrel are horrible. The rear sight is bulky and the notch that the front sight sits is huge and hard to center quickly, the front sight is brass and is horrible to see in low light conditions. I have tried adding some high vis paint to the front sight but thats no help.
Any suggestions on replacement sights? I am unsure of a direct replacement that I could do without modifications to the gun/barrel. I have been toying with the idea of getting a scope mount for the gun and maybe adding a red dot sight. I am definatly not interested in using a regular scope as I have tried in the past and could never get good target aquisition on moving targets which are quite common where I hunt.
Thanks in advance, any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
